we made it! (and i made a podcast!)
For this assignment, I chose to make a podcast about the F1 season so far from the perspective of two fans having a lighthearted conversation. I figured that a back-and-forth dynamic would flow much better than an interview when reflecting on something both hosts had experienced, and I think it turned out great! I loved the flow of conversation from start to finish, and I think even for someone who doesn't know too much about the sport, it's easy to follow and listen to.

Anyways, now that my time in SM storytelling is over, I can confidently say that I've been forced out of my comfort zone, and I'm grateful for that. The biggest challenge for me (aside from moving out of my house during this semester) was probably creating an infographic. It's always super daunting to use a new software for the first time, and I had very little experience with Canva, but I was happy with the way things turned out. I never like using templates, but I had to just swallow my pride and accept my fate for this one. Everyone's gotta start somewhere, and I've since gotten a bit more comfortable with Canva and I'm working to get better.

The most fun aspect of this class for me was the video story. I had so much fun editing, writing, and filming it and I'm so glad we were given basically full creative direction for whatever we wanted to do. I don't ever want to look like the one guy who tried way too hard or anything like that, I just really enjoy making videos.

The most memorable aspect of this class for me was honestly the customer story. It was really interesting for me to dive into Apple's lesser-seen advertisements and try to pick apart what each frame meant in terms of marketing. I'm really glad I was able to find such a high budget example as well, it made the whole thing feel way more immersive.
